One-page letter with short content section
A4 Letterhead, with content.
The address field has nine lines, in accordance with DIN 5008 [1]. All address details are set left-aligned on the left-hand edge of the type space [2]. The first text line begins below the first fold line [3]. The date and subject of the letter and the addressor details are always set in a strictly defined order before the letter content begins [4]. The actual content follows after a gap of two blank lines and begins with the salutation [5].

Continuation page
To guarantee a minimum spacing from the footer, letters are always continued on a second pag e after a maximum of 30 lines including the date, subject, and blank lines [6]. Letter content is always set in Corporate S regular [7]. The footer is set in Corporate S BQ light. The footer consists of one or more lines in left-justified rag. It may be edited as desired, but the style and layout of the address details are strictly defined [8]. All subsequent pages differ only through the omission of the footer. The layout principle is identical to that of the letterhead. Exception: here, the first text line begins at the height of the first addressee line of the first page [9], the last line may not extend beyond the top edge of the omitted footer element [10].
