Printing and finishing

These details refer to Leica literature in general – and in particular to camera brochures. They ensure that the image communicated is not only consistent and unmistakable in a visual sense, but also in terms of feel.

General

To ensure a consistent image in communication, only the following paper qualities may be used.
For optimum image reproduction, covers, and inside pages are always printed on matt-coated paper.
Each paper is available in different grammages.
Jacket pages: matt-coated paper “IGEPA Profi silk”, 300 g/m²

Offset printing

Inside pages: matt-coated paper “IGEPA Profi silk”, 170 g/m²
“Leica Black” 40/0/0/100

Finishing

Jacket pages are additionally laminated on the outside with scratch-resistant matt cellophane film
(brand: e.g. Achilles), and the banderole is additionally finished with UV lacquer.
PLEASE NOTE: As it is liable to crack, UV lacquer must not be applied over the fold line.

Digital printing (Exception)

Jacket pages: matt-coated paper “ZANDERS mega silk”, 300 g/m²
Inside pages: matt-coated paper “ZANDERS mega silk”, 170 g/m²
Black 0/0/0/100

Finishing

The banderole is simulated by the application of a structured varnish (brand: e.g. dimensional toner on a NexPress digital printing press).
